ABOUT THE CLIENT
1886 Café is a vibrant cafeteria located at the heart of a school campus as part of its extension program. The space is divided into three distinct areas: a teacher's lounge, a section for kindergarten children, and an open space for students from elementary, junior high, and high school. It offers flexible seating arrangements catering to diverse needs—from quiet nooks for those seeking solitude to large communal tables for group collaborations.

THE OBJECTIVE
The goal of this project was to design a versatile, inviting environment that caters to the wide range of personalities and activities within the school community. The space was segmented to reflect the unique needs of each group while maintaining a cohesive, warm atmosphere. Through the use of fun, colorful elements, the design brings a playful energy to the space. A blend of classic wooden school furniture and modern industrial pieces creates a dynamic contrast, infusing the space with a balance of nostalgia and contemporary flair.

We crafted a welcoming environment with a distinctive visual identity that bridges students and teachers, creating spaces that celebrate the school’s culture. Each area reflects the uniqueness of its users while promoting connection and interaction. The blend of familiar school furniture with updated industrial designs enhances the café's warmth and playfulness, making it a multifunctional hub for the entire school community.
